Project Overview

Research has shown that existing imaging systems are inappropriate and inaccessible for people with disabilities. Medical personnel have difficulties transferring patients with limited mobility. A more effective, versatile, low cost and easy to adjust transfer device that works with a wide range of imaging platforms is needed. This device also is of benefit to  medical personnel and imaging technicians with disabilities to perform routine tasks.

The goal of this project is to develop an easy and low-cost device to transfer patients with disabilities to and from imaging centers and to position them onto imaging beds for diagnostic scans.
