CUA Ballroom Competitive Dance Team

The Competitive Dance Team is open to anyone affiliated with CUA who is interested in becoming a better dancer. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced dancer, the Team is an opportunity to gain more practice and instruction and rapidly improve your dance skills. There is no cost to join and no obligation to attend every competition.

The Team participates in several collegiate and amateur dancesport competitions each year, both locally and nationally. Competitions we have attended in previous years include: DC Dance Inferno (University of Maryland - College Park), the National Collegiate Dancesport Championships (OH), MIT Ballroom Competition (MA), Manhattan Amateur Classic (NY), Stardust Collegiate Dancesport Competition (NJ), Rutgers Collegiate Competition (NJ) and last year we attended the Intercontinental Dancecamp and Festival in Daytona Beach, FL.

Our members have won numerous awards at many competitions, and the team continues to gain momentum and success. Come learn how to dance, meet other college students, travel around the country, and have an awesome time!
