About Us The National Blues Foundation was founded in 2010 through a generous grant from Billy Gibbons of Z. Z. Tops and matching funds from the National Endowment for the Arts. A former cotton farm, south of Memphis came available nearly at the same time and we began renovation of the bale house (where the cotton was baled for market) as a state of the art digital library. We left the massive bale engine intact, it is the first thing you see beyond the reception desk.
It is something of an emblem of our mission; preserving our past and making it accessible to the digital generation. Our Values: Intregrity, Courage and Kindness |
